Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the ChildLock mobile app, the childlock.xyz website, and related services (together, the "Service") operated by EpowerX Labs Private Limited ("EpowerX", "we", "us"). By downloading, accessing, purchasing through, or using ChildLock, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What ChildLock does

ChildLock is a parental-control app for iPhone. It does two things: it blocks the apps a parent chooses, using Apple's iOS FamilyControls / Screen Time frameworks, and it gives the child a viewing space limited to video channels the parent has approved from our curated catalog or by search. Session extensions are gated behind the parent's Face ID. We do not guarantee that every app will always be shielded, that iOS behavior will not change, or that the Service will operate without interruption.

2. Eligibility

You (the parent or guardian) must be at least 18 years old and legally able to agree to these Terms. ChildLock does not require an account. You are responsible for access to your device and for all choices made in the app on that device, including which channels you approve for your child.

3. License

We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use ChildLock for your personal, non-commercial use in accordance with these Terms. ChildLock, including its software, design, branding, text, graphics, and catalog curation, is owned by or licensed to EpowerX and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

4. Restrictions

• Do not reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code except where applicable law expressly permits it.
• Do not resell, rent, or redistribute ChildLock or its catalog.
• Do not use ChildLock to bypass, weaken, or interfere with parental controls on a device you are not authorized to manage.
• Do not interfere with, disrupt, overload, or attempt unauthorized access to the Service or our systems.
• Do not bypass, manipulate, or misuse billing, purchase validation, analytics, or support systems.

5. Subscriptions

ChildLock subscriptions are billed by Apple through the App Store. Apple manages payment, auto-renewal, and cancellation via your Apple ID settings — EpowerX cannot cancel or modify an iOS subscription on your behalf. To manage or cancel, open apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions (or Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone). The price and renewal period are shown before you confirm a purchase.

6. Refunds

iOS refunds are processed by Apple only. Use Apple's Report a Problem at reportaproblem.apple.com within Apple's refund window. EpowerX does not process iOS payments and cannot issue iOS refunds. For billing questions, email subscriptions@childlock.xyz and include the transaction identifier from your Apple receipt.

7. Third-party services

ChildLock relies on Apple (payments and the Screen Time / FamilyControls frameworks) and RevenueCat (subscription state). YouTube content shown in ChildLock is published by its respective channel owners on YouTube; availability of any channel or video is outside our control. Your use of Apple's or another third party's service is also subject to that provider's terms. We are not responsible for services we do not control.

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ChildLock is provided "as is" and "as available". ChildLock is a best-effort parental tool that depends on iOS behavior, your device settings, and your child's cooperation — it is not a substitute for supervision, and it is not medical, psychological, or professional advice. To the fullest extent permitted by law, EpowerX will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, and our total liability for claims arising from the Service will not exceed the amount you paid for ChildLock during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that applicable consumer-protection law does not allow us to exclude.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate at any time. Uninstalling the app terminates your license. We may suspend or discontinue all or part of the Service, and we may release updates required for security, compatibility, billing, or legal compliance.

10. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to mandatory consumer rights and other applicable law, disputes arising from these Terms or the Service are subject to arbitration seated in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, and to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new "Last updated" date. Where applicable law requires additional notice or consent, we will provide it. Continuing to use the Service after revised Terms take effect means you accept them.
